VIP Interview with Cassandra Love Lambert

Pain into power process

Q. It’s an honour to speak with you today Cassandra. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Being here with Women Thrive is such a gift, surrounded by women who are turning their pain into purpose. My journey here has been anything but easy—full of twists, heartache, and growth. I actually share the full story in my memoir, Into the Light: Becoming My Own Hero, but the short version goes like this:

I had a rough start in life—placed in foster care at 2, then endured sexual abuse from ages 5 to 8. My mom, doing the best she could with her unhealed trauma, wasn’t emotionally available. Our home was filled with criticism instead of love, safety, and support.

Growing up in that kind of environment, I ended up repeating those patterns in adulthood—drawn into abusive relationships because they felt familiar, even though they hurt. I eventually hit a point where I couldn’t keep living the way I was. I was either going to stay stuck or fight for a life that felt good. So I chose healing. I started going to workshops, therapy, retreats—anything that could help me break free from the repeating cycles.

By 27, I felt like I was finally stepping into my power. I was starting a business, feeling confident and connected in my body. And then—I got pregnant. The reality of becoming a single mom hit me hard. All the progress I thought I’d made felt like it disappeared overnight. I was back at my mom’s house, completely overwhelmed, scared of repeating the same trauma with my daughter.

That fear led me to somatic work—primarily Evidence-Based EFT. It was the first thing that truly helped me expand my capacity to be present with difficult emotions and sensations, both mine and my daughter’s. It changed everything. That experience inspired me to train and become a practitioner myself, which eventually led to the creation of my Pain into Power Process—a way to help other women come back to their bodies, reclaim their voice, and feel safe enough to live fully.

Q. What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

Growing up, money was tight. Whenever I asked to join activities like gymnastics, I was met with, “Money doesn’t grow on trees”. That pushed me to get creative. I started selling holiday candy in the neighborhood, made and sold homemade coloring books by photocopying my drawings at my mom’s work, and even hosted mini garage sales with stuff I no longer wanted. Looking back, I realize I had an entrepreneurial spirit from the start.

As a teen, I babysat and cleaned houses long before I got my first ‘real’ job—and even then, I hated the rigidity. I was always drawn to roles that gave me freedom, like sales jobs or MLMs, because I craved autonomy over my time and energy.

Even before I officially had a business, I was obsessed with personal development and business workshops. Those experiences planted the seeds. In my 20s, I launched ABunnDance—a playful, powerful class where people dressed up, danced, and used NLP to achieve their goals. My first truly successful venture came after becoming a mom, when I created C-Love, offering face and body art and makeup. It combined creativity, service, and freedom—and showed me that entrepreneurship is where I thrive.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

After finally hitting six figures with my art business, the pandemic hit—and within 48 hours, everything stopped. All in-person events were canceled, and I watched my business dry up overnight. I was in shock, heartbroken, and grieving the work I loved so much—the joy it brought others and the creative expression it gave me.

Thankfully, I had already been pursuing my EFT Tapping certification, so I naturally pivoted. I began working one-on-one with women to help them process unresolved trauma and reclaim their power. I reached out to a coach who supported me in building an online practice, and that’s how my Pain into Power Process was born.

Since then, countless women have gone through this process—moving from anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional disconnection to feeling grounded, confident, and truly fulfilled. It’s been a beautiful evolution, and I’m so grateful for where it’s led me.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you?

Motherhood is a profound rite of passage—an identity shift that can feel overwhelming, confusing, and isolating. It often stirs up unresolved trauma that’s been buried in the subconscious for years. I help moms reclaim themselves in the midst of it all—so they can break generational cycles and consciously create the kind of life they want for their children, rather than defaulting to what they experienced growing up.

Through my Pain into Power Process, I guide them from daily anxiety, overwhelm, and disconnection to feeling grounded, embodied, empowered, and fulfilled. I help them prioritize themselves—not from selfishness, but from a place of wholeness—so they can show up for their kids with more emotional capacity, energy, and presence. Their emotions become allies, not something to fear or suppress.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Follow what lights you up and trust the little nudges of inspiration. Both ABunnDance and C-Love began from intuitive sparks—I didn’t have it all figured out, I just said yes and figured it out as I went. There’s real magic in being bold and showing up in your authenticity.

ABunnDance was born from a wine-filled girls’ night with two close friends from PSI Seminars. They asked me to teach them how to shake their butts—we laughed, named the moves, and had so much fun that it sparked a full-on dance and goal-setting class.

C-Love started during one of the hardest chapters of my life—becoming a single mom and starting over. I felt a nudge to offer face painting at an event. I had done it for fun at Burning Man, so I asked—and she said yes. That one yes turned into a decade-long business with a sparkle babe team and six-figure success.

You don’t need to have it all together—just take the first step, keep showing up, and trust that the spark will lead you somewhere beautiful.

Q. What is one book you recommend, and why?

I wholeheartedly recommend my memoir, Into the Light: Becoming My Own Hero. Not just because I wrote it, but because of the incredible feedback I continue to receive from both women and men who say it moved them deeply. Many share how they couldn’t put it down, how seen they felt, and how inspired they were by the rawness of my story.

The book shares my journey of overcoming childhood trauma and sexual abuse, and it’s paired with a powerful workbook filled with journal prompts and somatic exercises to help readers walk through their own healing as they follow mine. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a parent, or simply a human navigating life, it’s a reminder that no matter the cards you’re dealt, you can reclaim your power and rewrite your story.
