Finding My Real Self and Enriched Soul

How do you know you have a mind? You are aware of it, right?
How do you know you have a body? Again because you’re aware of it. So what is that thing that is aware of your mind and body?

What is Happening To Me?

As I sat in the bath, the water was getting colder and I started to shiver.
How am I going to get out of the bath I thought I couldn’t move?
Roughly 60 minutes earlier it felt like my head would explode and as I lay in the warm bubble bath, now my body was limp. I couldn’t move my right arm or leg much and my breathing started to become shallow.
As I looked up at the air vent on the wall above the bath I was sure I could see a bright light, or was I just confused? I started to shiver and as I sat there in the cold water the feeling of being scared dissipated. I felt this sense of calm come over me, I had a feeling that all would be ok, I didn’t know how as I couldn’t move and breathe too well.
However, I allowed myself to calm down and relax and the energy in the room changed. The only way I can describe this is it was like I was cocooned in a silent spacious sphere. I heard nothing, the pain had vanished and I was in total silence and everything became completely still.
I didn’t understand what was happening to me.

Freedom is the willingness to experience all of life and to do so without suffering.

I now know that – yes – I have a mind but I am not my mind.
I also know I have a body but I’m not my body.
Conscious Awareness is that which is aware of mind and body and it’s still, silent, and spacious and now I believe I had experienced my real Self in those moments.
A similar unexplained experience had happened one morning many years previous when I woke to a light shining in my eyes. I looked over at the wall in my bedroom and there was a bright illuminated cross that flashed for a few seconds then disappeared. I jumped out of bed and looked into the cot and could see my baby was having difficulty breathing. I knew at that moment that the cross was a sign and my son was being protected by a higher power, just like the day I suffered a stroke in the bath.
Growing up, I had always felt different to my siblings and friends. I was often told I was too sensitive. As a child, I spent a lot of time on my own in my bedroom. I was a bit of a lone wolf and I don’t think others understood me so I was more comfortable on my own. In my late teens and upwards I was interested in crystals, chakra’s, meditation, angel cards and other worldly spiritual teachings.

Being in alignment with your soul self is pivotal to your growth

When I started to incorporate a holistic mind body soul approach to my health, that’s where the magic started to happen, I could see that I was not ‘broken’.
There is so much more to this physical form we all have, the body is the vehicle, not the driver.
So I went on a mission to educate myself and find out more about spirituality and ways to embrace my real Self and to be soul rich.
I believe we are all here for a purpose and it was written in my soul contract, that I would have a stroke in order for me to share my experience with others to help them to awaken and learn how to embody the best version of their real selves.
What purpose can you unveil from your suffering?

Every experience is a learning experience

Know that what has happened in your life hasn’t happened to you, it’s happened for you.
We all have incredible resilience and the capacity to overcome whatever darkness has adorned our doors.
Make a daily conscious choice to return to who you are and watch the dance of life continue.
It has been said by many spiritual teachers that you are what you seek.
If you are Peace, Happiness, Joy, Freedom etc and you are not experiencing it yet. If not, why not?
The reason is that so many people spend time searching over there thinking that they are someone who they simply are not. Searching outside themselves where they believe that there is this metaphorical rainbow and in the hope that by doing x, y and z they will find what they have been searching for. You won’t find these beautiful states of being outside your Self, they are woven into the fabric of your being. They have been there since the day you were born.
All you need to do is look within and the answers are there to be found.
You have all you need and more within you.
