The Secret to Happiness

Work life harmony method

Realign How You Live, Love, and Lead with Nathalie Botros

By Raimonda Jankunaite, Editor at Women Thrive Magazine

When I first met Nathalie Botros—better known to many as The Bon-Vivant Girl—I instantly understood why her presence fills a room with warmth and light. She’s a woman who radiates joy, not from a place of surface-level optimism, but from a deep well of wisdom forged through reinvention, resilience, and radical self-love.

Born in Lebanon, raised in Turkey, and later trained in Switzerland as a psychotherapist, Nathalie’s journey has been anything but linear. Her life reads like a passport stamped with chapters of growth: banking and finance in Switzerland, fashion design in Italy, and ultimately a fresh start in New York City. But beyond the geographical changes, what truly marks her story is a profound inner transformation—one that turned personal challenges into a global mission to empower others to live a joyful, guilt-free, andF fulfilling life.

Today, Nathalie is a mindset and happiness coach, psychotherapist, speaker, and author of If You Are What You Eat, Should I Eat a Skinny Girl? And her second best selling book, “The Happiness Cocktail: The Right Ingredients For A Life Of Happiness And Hope”. Her signature coaching method—The Relationship Code: a 3-month program to reset your relationship with yourself, your partner and your business —has made her a trusted voice in the world of mindset, wellness, and leadership. And now, through this cover feature, we’re proud to spotlight her message to the Women Thrive global community.

Reinventing Herself—And Finding Her Truth

In our interview, Nathalie shared candidly about her earlier struggles: “When I moved to the U.S., I gained weight and totally lost my confidence. I was watching a show about helping women love themselves, and I had this moment of realization—I needed that help too. That moment marked a turning point. Instead of chasing perfection, Nathalie began to chase inner peace.

This reinvention was not about external transformation, but rather coming home to herself. “I became The Bon-Vivant Girl when I stopped attaching my happiness to how I looked,” she said. “I found myself again when I started loving myself—fully, unapologetically.”

Her personal healing journey became the foundation for her career as a coach, author, and speaker. Today, Nathalie helps people all over the world reconnect with their joy, embrace their individuality, and stop burning themselves out in the name of “success”.

Balance is a Myth—Harmony is the Secret

One of Nathalie’s core teachings is centered around her Work-Life Harmony Method. “We keep talking about balance,” she said, “but balance is a myth. It’s not about giving everything 50/50. Harmony is more holistic—it’s about creating your life like a symphony. Every part has its place, and it flows.”

In a world where high-achieving women often feel like they have to choose between business success and personal well-being, Nathalie’s message is a refreshing shift in perspective. She challenges the guilt narrative so many women carry—the guilt of wanting more, the guilt of resting, the guilt of saying no.

“True success without contentment is meaningless,” she told me. “You can have it all—but not by doing it all. You need to know your priorities, set clear boundaries, and stop sacrificing your life for one more meeting.”

Her advice hits home for many of our Women Thrive readers: entrepreneurs, coaches, speakers, and leaders who juggle multiple roles and ambitions. Nathalie offers a permission slip to redefine productivity and embrace joy as a powerful success strategy.

The Happiness Cocktail: A Recipe for Daily Joy

At the heart of Nathalie’s philosophy is what she calls The Happiness Cocktail—a five-part method designed to infuse your life with intention, ease, and delight. The ingredients are simple but powerful: Smile, Move, Invest, Love, Enjoy—or as she sums it up, SMILE.

Each part has its purpose:

  • Smile – “It’s the easiest way to release happiness hormones. It fills your happiness bank and helps you navigate the day with resilience.”
  • Move – “Whether it’s your body or your life—movement creates clarity. Don’t stay stuck in your comfort zone. Take small actions toward what lights you up.”
  • Invest – “Not financially, but energetically. Invest in activities, people, and experiences that nourish your soul.”
  • Love – “Self-love is the starting point. When you know how to love yourself, you teach others how to treat you.”
  • Enjoy – “Don’t wait to enjoy life. Rest. Laugh. Celebrate. Now! Enjoyment is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.”

This isn’t about toxic positivity. It’s about building a life that feels good from the inside out. It’s about choosing joy as a daily habit, not a distant goal. As Nathalie puts it, “People overcomplicate happiness. They chase it through external factors. But it’s not out there. It’s within.”

Lessons in Leadership (and Love)

Nathalie’s joy is contagious, but it’s also deeply practical. She’s not just coaching people to feel good—she’s helping them live well. From her psychotherapy training to her experience in corporate leadership, she brings a grounded, real-world approach to her work. And she reminds us that joy and leadership are not opposites—they’re intertwined.

“We need to feel like humans again in the workplace—not robots chasing deadlines,” she says. “When you’re happy, you’re a better leader. You’re more compassionate. You’re more present.”

She also credits her personal rituals for keeping her centered: “My mantra is Today is going to be a good day. I have my morning ritual, time with my husband, even just a 5-second kiss—it releases oxytocin, it grounds me. These little moments create a big impact.”

Impact and Recognition

Nathalie’s work hasn’t gone unnoticed. She’s been featured in Thrive Global, NBC, Ticker News, Medium, and was named one of the Top 5 Exceptional Leaders to Follow in 2024 by Magnate View. In 2023, she was recognized as a Top Happiness Coach by IOATP, and she’s set to be featured in the 2025 documentary Pillars of Power by the Los Angeles Tribune Film Division.

She is also the author of multiple books and regularly speaks on international stages about self-love, mindset, and the power of happiness as a leadership tool.

But when I asked her what drove her most, it wasn’t the accolades—it was the impact. “I want people to know that happiness is reachable,” she said. “You don’t need to wait for the perfect job, the perfect weight, the perfect anything. You can start today.”

A Final Note to the Women Thrive Community

Nathalie Botros is more than a coach or speaker—she’s a living embodiment of what it means to thrive. Her message is not only timely, but timeless: You are worthy of joy. You deserve to live a life of harmony, not a life of hustle. And the key to happiness? It’s already inside you.

As we celebrate women’s stories, voices, and visions in this issue of Women Thrive Magazine, I can’t think of a more fitting feature than Nathalie. Her story reminds us that success doesn’t have to come at the cost of self. That we don’t need to choose between ambition and happiness. And that, sometimes, the boldest move we can make is to smile, love ourselves, and enjoy the life we’ve worked so hard to create.

Because happy people don’t burn out—they shine.
