Where Are You Blocking Your Abundance?

Darkness Reclaimed: Healing Beyond Love & Light

What Is a Wealth Mindset and Why It Matters

Receiving money should in theory be a simple transaction. Effort in = money out, right?

In reality, it is much more complicated than that. It’s amazing how often we might think that we are open to receiving an abundance of money, but our belief system is telling the universe something very different. What this means is that we energetically block the money that we want to receive.

Our beliefs around money are picked up through childhood from our parents mainly, but also from our interactions with everyone around us. Unless we had an easy flow of money, parents who were not worried about money and never told us there wasn’t enough, no money judgement, a balance of friends who didn’t worry about money or feel more important or better than others because of it and others around us happy and supportive of us making and enjoying money (all in all a pretty unrealistic scenario), then we will likely have picked up some negative beliefs along the way.

Personal Story: Struggling with Money Flow

Much of my life has been lived in money struggle. I would always get just about enough. I would have enough to cover the bills and I would have to save and worry about covering costs if I went on holiday or did something out of the ordinary. It wasn’t until I started working to release some of my negative beliefs that I realised I believed (due to childhood) that if I earned lots of money, the people around me would treat me badly. My belief system centred all around me giving to everyone else and making everyone else happy before I could think about looking after myself. Accordingly, the brief times when I had some money in my life, I had spent it on others: treating my family to trips, dinners and being overly generous.

As I worked to release the memories, beliefs and emotions, I was able to steady the amount of money that I earned, and in time, money started to flow into my life. I hadn’t worked more hours or done anything differently. All I had done was open up the energetic flow, to enable me to feel safe to receive. As I did this, money came to me from many different sources.

Exercises to Identify Money Beliefs

As a starting point to establish the money beliefs that might be holding you back, work through the following exercises:

  1. Complete the sentence: Money is ……. Maybe you might use words like dangerous or uncertain or ‘not for me’ which tells you a lot about your associations with money. Maybe you believe that you have to work long and crazy hours to receive it.
  2. What is the level of money which would feel safe for you to receive in one year? 50,000? 100,000? 150,000? 500 000?… When you reach the point of your glass ceiling around money, sit with that feeling for a bit. Why do you draw the line there? What would change if you earnt more than that? Who wouldn’t like it? How do you fear you might change
  3. Consider how much time you spend worrying about money. What we focus on becomes bigger, so as we focus on how little we have, we are ensuring that the situation won’t change. Each time you spend money, instead of thinking about how little you have, say ‘this money I am spending will come back to me two fold’ and send it out with love. It’s amazing the freeing shift this small change makes with your energy around money.

I created an app called The Healing Place, which helps entrepreneurs to get past their money and success blocks by using powerful tools including quantum healing.

When we shift the energy holding our old memories and belief systems in place, we open ourselves up to all the potential that money has to offer: money becomes a source of good, and a way to improve our lives and others.
