There is a woman reading this right now who has spent years leading at a level that impresses everyone around her, and yet, privately, she still questions whether she belongs at the table she built with her own hands.
She is skilled. She is accomplished. She has the credentials, the track record, and the vision. But somewhere between the boardroom and the mirror, there is a gap, a space where her external success and her internal authority have not yet fully met.
I know her well. Because I was her.
For much of my professional life, I operated from a place I now call performing leadership. Executing at a high level, delivering results, earning respect, while an undercurrent of quiet uncertainty ran beneath the surface. It was not until I made a decisive shift from leading by position to leading from identity that everything changed. Not just my outcomes, but the entire quality of my influence.
That shift is what I call Dominion Leadership.
Dominion Leadership is not about control. It is not authority derived from a title, a tenure, or someone else’s approval. It is the kind of leadership that flows from a woman who has done the interior work, knows who she is, understands what she carries, and moves through rooms, organizations, and global stages with a settled, unshakable presence that others feel before she says a word.
One of my keynote topics when speaking is “She Was Built for This: Stepping Into Dominion Leadership in Business and Beyond”. This is not just a message I deliver; it is a mandate I carry. Every time I step onto a stage, I am standing before women who are capable of far more than they have been given permission to believe. And my assignment is to change that.
Here is what I know to be true: you cannot lead at your highest level from an identity that has not been fully claimed. The pattern I see again and again in executives, entrepreneurs, advocates, and influencers across the globe, is not a lack of strategy or skill. It is a leadership identity still running on borrowed frameworks, external validation, and old narratives about who gets to hold power. When we upgrade the identity, leadership follows.
Dominion-level influence doesn’t depend on perfect conditions, the right economy, or someone finally giving you permission. It begins the moment you decide that who you are is not up for negotiation.
Action Step: So, before I close this article, I want to do something I do from every platform I stand on. I want to speak directly to you, not just as a reader, but as the leader you were designed to be.
A Decree Over Every Woman Reading This
You are not behind. You are positioned.
– The doors that closed were not rejection; they were redirection toward rooms that were always meant for you.
– You did not survive what you survived to stay small. You survived to lead.
Your voice carries weight. Your vision carries purpose. Your presence carries authority that no title can give and no circumstance can take.
The world does not need a quieter version of you. It needs the full, unedited, unapologetic expression of the leader you were built to be.
You were never meant to ask for a seat. You were meant to build the table.
Now sit at the head of it ~ and lead.
That is your assignment. Walk in it.
