Let’s state the obvious: we have always faced oppression. Now that we’ve acknowledged that, let’s shift our focus to the power we possess—the strength that allows us to rise despite every attack on our womanhood.
I am in awe of the majestic grace, beauty, power, strength, agility, and courage of the lioness. She is unlike any other creature. Yes, there are many big cats in the wild, but none as fierce and protective as the lioness. Her oneness with her sister lionesses sets her apart. She doesn’t just care for her own cubs—she protects the entire pride.
This is why I identify with her spirit.
A Kingdom Perspective on Our Strength
As a woman of faith, I find guidance in my relationship with God. One scripture that speaks to me as I write this is:
“What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” – Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NIV)
Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr echoed this truth: “The more things change, the more they stay the same.” This helps us understand the times we are living in today.
All over the world, women’s voices are silenced, and our rights are subverted—not only as women but as human beings. But history has proven that no matter the obstacle, we rise! We are not mere objects for entertainment, nor are we second-class citizens with no say in how we are governed.
We are women. Dare I say, LIONESSES.

In the wild, the roar of a lioness is more than just a sound—it is a declaration. It resounds across the land, signaling presence, power, and purpose. Likewise, when God’s lioness roars, she releases a sound that shakes atmospheres, calls others into alignment, and establishes divine authority within her sphere of influence.
The roar we release is not just for us—it is for our sisters, our daughters, and the generations to come!
Why We Must ROAR
We ROAR to bring awareness to our existence as mighty, fierce, courageous women who refuse to let our light be dimmed by insecurity. In the wild, when danger arises, a lioness roars to summon her pride—she never fights alone. Likewise, a woman who understands her authority roars in the spirit, calling for intercession, support, and divine intervention. She knows she doesn’t have to battle alone.
This is not the time to dwell on negativity. This is the time to speak with power and boldness about who we are! We must command the atmosphere with:
- Clarity amid chaos
- Strength in the face of weakness
- Balance in a world of narrow-mindedness
Women who operate in their divine authority declare their unlimited abilities through the power of their words. A Kingdom Lioness roars because she is unafraid. She knows who she is, whose she is, and what she is called to do. Her voice carries weight, and when she speaks, the spiritual atmosphere shifts.
Speak Out and Take a Stand
We must raise our voices against every form of discrimination and injustice:
- Gender discrimination
- Workplace inequality
- Educational barriers
- Economic oppression
- Political silencing
- Religious and cultural suppression
Many women experience oppression at the intersection of multiple identities. It is our responsibility to speak up, ensuring future generations of women walk boldly in their purpose!
When the Lioness Roars, the Enemy Trembles
The roar of a lioness in the wild is unmistakable—it signals dominion, authority, and presence. Likewise, when a woman fully embraces her divine assignment and lifts her voice, she:
- Shifts atmospheres
- Breaks chains
- Releases destiny
So, woman of God, Lioness, step into your dominion and let your ROAR be heard! Whether in prayer, leadership, ministry, or the marketplace, do not hold back your sound.
When you declare the Word of the Lord, when you wage war in the spirit, when you stand up to oppressive forces—
YOU ARE ROARING WITH KINGDOM POWER!
