When the going got tough, I did what I had always been taught to do: I kept on trucking, pushed through, no matter what.
After all, there were offers to launch, product features to promote, coaching services to talk about, carousels to write, stories to post… As a gold star student & a strategy nerd through and through, I was relentlessly doing the do, posting every day, educating on value, features, outcomes, deliverables & results every single day.
But I was frustrated because I was not getting the level of high stakes exposure & impact I knew my genius deserved.
I wasn’t getting booked on international stages to share my work & change hundreds of lives at a time.
Heck! I wasn’t even being considered by high-profile events & in-the-spotlight opportunities.
The frustration was bone-deep because I was pouring my heart into every aspect of my business & knew I should be further along.
Everything changed when I went to my first in-person business mastermind event & witnessed the power of Movements to influence the masses. The woman behind the event, the movement leader, had succesfully sold out & rolled out an entire event, without being in the room or on the same continent. Yet, every single attendee, including myself, was so proud to carry that event forward publicly.
I realized in that room that it wasn’t just what to do, it was who I had to be.
I realized influence doesn’t stem solely from “business strategy” or explaining features and frameworks.
It comes from becoming the woman whose name people are so proud to have their name associated with.
It comes from becoming the movement leader, whose mission is so potent, people are proud to carry forward it, whether you are physically in the room or not.
That event changed me on a cellular level & I decided to build my own movement.
That was the birth place of Movement Maker.
Movement Maker was born, not as a rebrand, but as a reckoning.
The name felt like a dare: “watch me turn my work into something so much bigger than my self” / “Watch me move the room”
Within just a few months, Movement Maker was catapulted on the international scene.
I started getting recognized as an international speaker.
Within months, I was getting invited to travel interntationally & speak my mission in high stakes arenas.
In fact, I launched Movement Maker’s first UK speaking tour:
– gracing The International Woman’s Festival, one of the biggest global events celebrating achievements of entrepreneurial women of colour, as a panelist alongside other Industry Leaders
– being booked as a main stage speaker at cornerstone events of 250+ attendees, such as Women Thrive Live London, & changing the lives of hundreds of audience members at a time.
Movement Maker also walked the stage as the winner of The Champion Leader Award, an award recognising trailblazing entrepreneurial women creating ripples of impact in the industry. This award was presented to me by Divas of Colour, a respected and long-standing establishment that was proud to feature Movement Maker & amplify its mission.
This was all the byproduct of shifting from selling an “umpteenth offer” to building a movement

This was the byproduct of becoming a Stage Worthy Movement Maker, the woman who was always meant to lead at this level.
Today, I’m on a mission to help other entrepreneurial women do the same because I have a passion for impact and calling people to rise in their power.
So I packaged my knowledge, experience and expertise & turned it into the 1,000 Person Movement Method to help clients explode their own impact through growing their movement one hundred fold & landing speaking opportunities.
Every single day, at Movement Maker, we work towards our quantifiable purpose, Operation 1K : training 1000 entrepeneurial women, particularly women of colour to build their own movement so they too can get booked on international stages, change the lives of hundreds of people & multiply their groundbreaking work.
Operation 1K is our code name for making world class education available to as many people as possible through the next generation of One Thousand Movement Makers worldwide and collectively changing the face of leadership as the world knows it.
