Gratitude is an Everyday Attitude. How to adjust your attitude accordingly.

How a Daily Gratitude Habit Leads to Positive Change

There was a time when I thought I was very grateful for my life and everything in it. I read a book that changed my perspective about gratitude and altered my entire life. I realized I had been thankful, but not to the level I should be. I created a new habit by committing to a 30-day gratitude practice. It made me realize there is so much to be grateful for that I had never imagined.

Gratitude is the ultimate prayer. Saying thank you for what we currently have is the way to welcome more things in. Before you can receive all that life has for you, you must be grateful for everything. Here are ways to practice gratitude that will change your life if you allow it to. Commit to doing these practices for at least 30 days. I know you will want to continue past that once you see the magic work in your life. It unlocks life’s miracles. Are you ready?

First, look at your life and all your past and current circumstances. Now, say thank you. Good or bad, whatever your perception, you must say thank you. Things you experienced have made you who you are and be grateful, even if you are not where you want to be.

Writing Your Gratitude: 10 Things to Be Thankful For

Write ten things you are grateful for and why you are thankful. Get specific and focus on the feeling of gratitude. Here are writing prompts to help you start:

I am so happy and grateful for _______ because ________.

With all my heart I am thankful for _______ because _______.

I am grateful now that ______ because ______.

Every morning and before bed say thank you. Write it on a Post-it note and put it where you can see it when you open your eyes in the morning. Think to yourself, “Thank you for my breath” as you wake. Sit for a moment and be present in the feeling of gratitude as you are fortunate enough to be alive another day.

Before bed, “Thank you for all the experiences in my path today” and think about the best thing that happened to you during the day. Gratitude will always bring you more of what you want to see in your life, especially when you are being intentional.

As you are grateful for what you have, also have gratitude for things that have not shown up in your reality. When you can feel gratitude for the thing that has not come to life yet, you are a magnet attracting it in.

Expanding Your Gratitude Practice: Areas to Reflect On

As we take the time daily to write about things we are grateful for, we may not know what to write about. Here are different topics you can cover to make sure you are saying thank you as much as you practice will improve your life in these areas:

Health/Wellness (physical, mental, emotional)

Money/Finances (money you have earned throughout your life and currently)

Life

Spirituality

Love

Relationships (children, spouses, family members, colleagues, etc.)

Gratitude is a daily practice. When we are grateful for what we have, we attract more. I challenge you to make a promise to yourself and spend the next 30 days changing your perspective on gratitude and watching the miracles that enter your life. Gratitude is a miracle magnet. Get ready to live a magical life with two simple words. Thank you.
