Q: What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

During my career, I’ve witnessed countless women whose lives were shaped by inherited belief systems they didn’t choose but unconsciously lived by—stories passed down through generations that taught self-sacrifice as a sign of love, kept silent to keep the peace, and made putting their needs last an act of devotion.

I was no exception. I followed society’s standards by climbing the corporate ladder and was very successful; however, I was emotionally depleted and unfulfilled. I spent decades helping others navigate transformation inside organizations, yet I hadn’t given myself permission to answer the deeper calling that had been tugging at me for years.

I became an entrepreneur at age 55, foregoing considerable financial security, because I refused to fit into a system that wasn’t built for women like me—a system that rewarded performance over values and conformity over integrity.

Q: Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in, and why should someone work with you?

I specialize in Women’s Empowerment. Through my book, speaking engagements, and signature programs, I help women gain awareness by providing the tools and support they need to face what has been holding them back from fully stepping into their authentic power, including years of conditioning, emotional patterns, and inherited beliefs. It’s about understanding how all this has shaped their lives and stolen their courage, so they can choose differently and finally make their life a priority.

Q: What’s the best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their lives? Or, what advice can you give to aspiring female entrepreneurs?

Give yourself permission to choose YOU. I’ve seen how women’s need for approval often outweighs their desire to live the life they want because societal standards, cultural expectations, or generational norms have taught them not to be “too much,” “too ambitious,” or “too different.”

Success comes when you’re aligned with your authenticity.  It’s seldom a lack of skill that women struggle with, but rather the fear of being seen or judged if they step outside the controls placed on them at an early age.

“Being courageously authentic is standing in your truth even when the world asks you to change,” says Brenda.

Q: What is the most important lesson you’ve learned as an entrepreneur?

Your business will never outgrow your healing.

Entrepreneurship brings every unhealed belief, insecurity, and old patterns to the surface. This is why inner healing matters: when fear, impostor syndrome, or old narratives resurface, remember that these patterns are surfacing to be healed and released. In this moment, you believe you’re worthy of success.  From here, everything changes because authenticity is more important to you than validation, approval, or others’ permission.

Q:  What has been the most impactful decision in your career?

To walk away from a successful executive role at the height of my career.

When people looked at me, they saw success because of my position, salary, and status, but inside, I was miserable. I knew I was meant to do more.

I wasn’t aligned with my authentic power. I wasn’t using my voice the way I was meant to.

Choosing to leave wasn’t easy. It meant letting go of the security and certainty I was accustomed to. The day I walked away was the day I returned to myself. That one decision opened the door to the work I was called to do, and I never regretted it.

When you choose courage over comfort, you’ll never look back because the person you become is finally free.

Q: In terms of legacy, what is the mark you’d like to leave on the world?

To be a global movement of women who find the courage to choose authenticity over perfection and to challenge generational conditioning and expectations that no longer serve them, so they create lives based on their values and desires, not others’.

If my work empowers women to use their voice, own their worth, and lead without apology, then everything I have sacrificed was worth it.
