Easy Makeup Look For Professional Women

Easy Makeup Look For Professional Women

Hey beauties, my name is Carla, Owner and Founder of Creative Contour By Carla, LLC. I am a makeup artist based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. I’ve been teaching busy professionals and small business owners like yourselves since 2013. When I opened Creative Contour By Carla, LLC. in 2017, I wanted to help women like you love makeup every time you wear it. In this article, I am going to show you how to do just that.

Now before we get into the instructions, I want to mention that you don’t need a vast collection of makeup products to wear a full face of makeup. I am aware that this contrasts with literally every post and video you’ll see on social media. The reason why I mention it is because as a working professional, I know that my clients are busy and don’t want to spend hours getting ready every morning. More often than not, I’ve seen my clients have an average of about 20 minutes to get ready in the morning. That’s not a ton of time. Today, I am going to teach you an easy makeup look that will wear well and look great in any setting and environment. I also want to quickly mention that the order you apply your makeup products is the order that works best for you and your needs. This style of makeup that we are learning today is a fully customized makeup look and is meant to be as easy for your unique needs as possible. So grab your makeup bag, and let’s get into it!

A Step-by-Step Guide to Easy Makeup Looks For Professional Women

Step 1. Prepare Your Skin For Makeup

First, we want to prepare our skin for makeup. To prepare our skin, we will apply our moisturizer and sunscreen with either a brush or clean hands. If you like using a primer, you can also apply it now, but it’s not required. Then we are going to let these products set up on the skin. Once the products have been absorbed, it’s time for makeup!

Step 2. Apply Foundation and Setting Powder for a Flawless Base

I am going to grab my foundation and setting powder to use as an overall base for my makeup look today. If you prefer to use a concealer, feel free to use it! The same sentiment applies to setting spray. I am going to apply my foundation as my base with a brush. I am going to use my foundation as a base for my eye makeup as well. You can use whatever base you’d like for your eye makeup. For my personal makeup routine, this formula works best. I use my fingers to apply the foundation on my eyes in a gentle patting motion, only using a small amount, then setting it with powder. Then I use my foundation brush and apply it on my face in outward motions to blend the product. Once I have achieved my desired coverage, I let set for a couple of minutes, then apply powder.

Step 3. Enhance with Blush and Eye Makeup

Then, I am going to use my blush. I am actually using my blush in two different ways in this makeup look: for a little eye makeup, and to give my cheeks a soft wash of color. I literally will use my fingers and dip into my blush and apply a little bit of color on my eyelids. I use a light sweeping motion to apply and blend the color in one step. I like to keep it soft since this makeup style is meant to adapt to a changing environment. Then I will grab my brush and sweep a soft wash of color on my cheeks. Then I am going to go back to my eyes and finish my look as desired; eyeliner, mascara, etc. Today, I am just using mascara to finish the eye makeup look. Once all of the eye makeup is set up, I want to conceal my undereye area. If you use a formal concealer, it’s time to apply it. I like to use a little bit of product at a time, in a gentle patting motion to ensure the product sets properly, to prevent creasing. Then I set it with powder.

Step 4. Define and Enhance Eyebrows

Now, I want to finish the rest of my makeup look. I have naturally full eyebrows, so I like to just do a little bit with them in my personal makeup routine. I like to use an eyebrow gel that matches the hair color and do a few light swipes to fill and set it in place. If you prefer to have fuller eyebrows, or like a more drawn-on eyebrow, now is a great time to do so.

Step 5. Perfect Your Pout with Lip Color

And then, I am going to complete my easy makeup look with a beautiful lip color. I chose a lipstick that has a soft pop of color but isn’t too bright. Perfect for a professional look! I personally am a lip gloss girl myself, so I topped my lipstick with a fun lip gloss for some shine and sparkle. Ta da, makeup look complete!

Beauties, makeup really can be this easy! The best part of this makeup look is that you get to customize it to fit your needs, makeup skill level, and the contents of your makeup bag. As a professional makeup artist, I only want the best for each one of you reading this article. I hope you enjoyed following along! And of course, if you are looking for more assistance in your makeup journey, I am happy to help!

Lots of love, lipstick, and easy makeup looks,
