Two Years Ago
Two years ago, I sat down for my usual morning meditation. What came next, I could not have prepared for.
Flashbacks
– Broken pieces in a puzzle, flooding in.
– Repressed memories of childhood sexual abuse, beginning as young as five, that my mind had buried for nearly twenty years.
– My body responded before my mind could catch up: convulsions, nausea, heaviness, as if I was living it again, consciously, for the first time.
I questioned if I was hallucinating. The flashbacks continued.
I had spent nearly ten years before that moment healing, through hypnotherapy, therapy, meditation, somatic experiencing, breathwork, and more, without knowing exactly what I was healing from. Continuously seeking to unburden. I just didn’t yet know the name of the weight.
While it felt like I had woken up inside a deep dark cave with nothing but myself and a long way to climb, I came to understand that the awakening, as devastating as it was, was also a messenger. It cultivated in me what I had always held the capacity to grow into.
I didn’t only escape. I grew wings.
I Kept Showing Up
I kept showing up:
1. To an entrepreneurship fellowship.
2. To my healing practices.
3. To breathwork and journaling and craniosacral therapy and nights in the bathtub holding me as I purged.
Some days, healing looked like crying myself to sleep. Other days, it looked like kickboxing, lifting the pain away with strength training, and stretching into yin yoga until I could hold more than I thought possible.
And through all of it, I kept returning to one truth: healing is not about getting rid of what you are not. It is about reclaiming who you already are inside.
The Rest Sheds
In that process, I began to write. Mantras that arrived not from books, but from the deepest part of me.
– Begin again. You are not done yet. Shine your highness.
Lifelines I returned to on the days the weight felt impossible to bear.
I Found Myself Drawn to Three Flowers
I found myself drawn to three flowers:
– The sunflower, because it always turns toward the light.
– The marigold, because it thrives in harsh conditions, blooming where others cannot.
– The lotus, because it grows from mud, not despite it, but because of it.
I drew a floral design that held all three. A design that would become MY GIRL: an engraved pendant that reflects the inner truth I was reclaiming: I am not the experience. I am the experiencer.
Neuroscience and Power of Mirroring
Neuroscience shows us the power of mirroring. What we see reflected back to us shapes what we believe about ourselves.
I wear what mirrors my transformation, my power, my resilience.
– Not as a reminder of what I survived, but as a declaration of who I am becoming.
Empowerment with MY GIRL Pendant
Every MY GIRL pendant sold empowers a woman: one is worn, one is given.
For the launch of Deepr Designs, I am donating the first 100 pendants to Saprea: an organization that runs free retreats, peer support groups, and community healing programs for those who have experienced childhood sexual trauma.
– 1 in 4 women carries this wound. Most are carrying it in silence.
– This pendant is one small, wearable way of saying: we get to bloom.
You are not what you experienced. You are whole.
Nothing harmful that we experience ever defines who we are. It is how we respond that shapes us from within.
Today I Run SAEL House
Today I run SAEL House, a spiritual healing practice serving women across the globe through intuitive guidance, energy work, and channeling. Deepr Designs is the wearable extension of that same mission, yet offers an emblem that a woman can carry on the ordinary Tuesdays when she needs a lifeline on her heart.
The pain I endured shaped me like fire shapes gold. And I would often whisper to myself through the hardest hours: this trauma chose the wrong girl.
I suppressed because there was no escape. I remembered only when I was ready and safe enough to grow through it.
– You are not defined by the past or the future.
– You are not the victim nor the victor.
– You are the pen that writes the story you choose to tell.
It’s possible. It’s liberating. It’s available.
