Best Steps on How to Use Your Instincts to Develop your Intuition
From Albert Einstein to Oprah Winfrey, great leaders rely on their intuition to make better decisions, spark passions and discover creative solutions.
Yet for many, knowing when it’s their intuition versus their mind is so difficult, it stops them from pursuing their intuitive gifts These people fail to develop their intuition, not because they don’t have it, but because they don’t know how to recognize intuition in the first place.
Your intuition most likely hasn’t been given a chance in your life. For most people, your intuition doesn’t automatically start speaking to you the minute you decide you want to use it. As you’ve most likely shut your intuition down many times throughout your life, it’s gone quiet. Your intuition needs encouragement to get started, so begin with instinct as it’s the best first step.
1. Identify your ‘gut’ instinct
Your instinct is your doorway into intuition. It’s the initial nudge giving you a reaction not involving your mind. When you ask yourself questions, your instinct gives your body a visceral response. It’s a YES or NO reaction.
If the answer to your question is a NO, you feel it in your body immediately. This is where the statements, “gut instinct” or the ‘hair on the back of my neck stood up” come from as your body gives you feedback about whether something is good for you or not.
The NO answers are always stronger as they are the instinctive fight or flight response. Your YES answers are subtler. In fact, subtle YES answers may not generate any feeling at all.
2. Feel instinct in your body
The key is determining how your body communicates instinctively with you. For many, your instinctive feelings arise in your belly or your neck, but for others, your body responds differently. The key, therefore, is to figure out how your instinct responds to a YES or NO question. Your body may change temperature, make you shutter, give you goosebumps or even cause a soft flutter on your arms or legs. Once you determine how your body instinctively gives you nudges, you’ll be able to follow your instincts.
3. Avoid second-guessing
This is important. Take physical action based on your instinctive reactions. If it’s a YES, do it. If it’s a NO, then don’t. Stop your mind from talking you into or out of your initial reaction. Your mind is attempting to take control. Don’t let it.
Your actions are an affirmation you’re open to using your intuition. Follow your instincts. By doing so, you’re extending an invitation to have your intuition begin a more in-depth conversation with you.
4. Give your mind a job
You must create space for your intuition to talk to you as it begins as a whisper, inking or nudge. Your mind is busy creating distractions, so give your mind a job to let your intuition speak. You can change your surroundings, allow your mind to wander while doing something else or create ease with soothing music. With your mind occupied, your intuition comes forth.
5. Say YES to your intuition
Your intuition lets itself be known in subtle ways, so pay attention. The difference between your intuition and mind is night and day. Your intuition is fleeting, illogical and incomplete while your mind is rational, logical and complete.
You may not want to follow your intuition, because it hasn’t told you the whole story. Yet, this is exactly the point. Your intuition knows more than your mind. Let it become your guide, advisor and confidante. When you do, you’ll be in the company of great leaders.

Meet the Founder of The Revolutionary Way to Develop Your Intuition for a Rich and Powerful Life – Kim Woods
Q: It’s an honor to speak to you today. Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you?
Hi, Kim Woods, Author and The Intuitive Business Strategist. I combine ancient wisdom with tried-and-true business strategies to help business leaders achieve radical levels of satisfaction in every aspect of their lives.
I begin by walking into your stars the minute you’re born to reveal your true life purpose and your unique signatures for success, love and money. Through my healing methods and activation codes, I help you shed the expectations and conditioning of others and teach you how to develop your own intuitive knowing. Finally, I create a strategy for you and your business, so you realize your dreams of personal, professional and financial success.
Q: You have decades of business experience to share, but we want to know how you’ve gotten where you are today. Will you share your story?
I discovered the power of my intuition when I found out how little she Knew, Liked, and Trusted myself when my son was born with significant health issues. I had spent all of my time building a successful career based on someone else’s definition of success, I ultimately lost myself. The crisis with my son forced me to find myself again by relying on my knowing to defy the doctor’s predictions for my son’s mediocre quality of life, liking myself enough to marry ancient wisdom with western methods and not accept the doctor’s plan to merely work around the issues, and trusting myself to see my strategies through for eight years until I saw complete transformation. With my son currently thriving, I use what I learned to create powerful results for my clients.
Q: What advice can you give aspiring female entrepreneurs?
Listen to your intuition and make sure you have a strategy to reach your definition of satisfying success. Success looks different for everyone. You’re unique and your success model should be unique too.
When you combine your intuition with strategy, you stop second guessing yourself and start making strong decisions; you stop comparing yourself to others and start blazing your own trail and you stop distrusting your value and start increasing your top and bottom lines.
Q: What’s ONE book you recommend and why?
Start with Why by Simon Sinek because you turn inward to figure out your passions and desires. Being an entrepreneur requires you to create a business out of thin air, which can be exhausting and frustrating at times. Your why provides the fuel to help you get back up and keep on going.
It’s your inspiration.
Q: What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned as an entrepreneur?
Be YOU. In difficult times, you may forget who you are and jump onto other’s methods of success. This dilutes your brand and confuses the marketplace. It also reeks of falseness that turns off customers. I fell prey to this when I shifted from brick-and-mortar to an online business. I hadn’t figured out how to be authentic and engaging in posts and emails. I missed the in-person connections of networking events and meetings. Due to this, I shifted my approach to the typical tripwire, funnel process. What a mistake. I had a summer of utter fails and realized I needed to change my approach and fast! Thankfully, I began lives and videos to talk directly with my audience. This gave me time to figure out how to tell story and be engaging on posts and emails.
Q: In terms of legacy, what’s the mark you’d like to leave on the world?
I’m shifting the leadership paradigm to integrate the gifts of the feminine with the strengths of the masculine. My team and I are guiding business leaders to listen to their intuitive voice, so they live their true life purpose, stand in their unique power and achieve their infinite prosperity. Each and every leader touches hundreds other lives and the overall ripple effect creates incredible impact. This is my legacy.

How to be More Irresistible and Powerful when Growing Your Business
You go onto social media and see reels, posts and ads of other entrepreneur’s wins, techniques and results. You read stories and testimony of all the ways someone else in your same business is crushing it. Your heart falls and your mind spins.
“Why aren’t I doing that?”
“How can she be doing so well?”
“Look at her business, it’s so much better than mine.”
You spiral down a path that has you reeling. You want to rewrite your planned posts, download quick tips and do a program to boost your growth. You second-guess all of your plans and strategies. You’re flailing, so start consuming more and more content until you completely lose yourself.
STOP.
Seriously stop.
Take a deep breath. Drop your phone. Walk away from your computer.
If there’s one thing I know from being in business for more than 30+ years, it’s this: Comparing yourself to others NEVER works out for you.
NEVER.
You are unique. Your offerings are unique. Your ability to work with others is unique. Period.
Your irresistible power play is to be uniquely you. When you do, you create a loyal follower base, draw those followers into your world and attract your soul mate clients.
Therefore, your growth is only limited by your ability to remember you are YOU.
Once you remember YOU, you realize there’s no true competition from others.
Without competition from others, you have a lane in the marketplace that’s untouchable.
Without competition from others, you make connections without having to worry about them trending into your lane.
Without competition from others, you generously share your value beyond your followers to create more impact for a wider audience.
Competition
However, there are actually advantageous ways to compete. Let’s explore competition a bit more to see if there’s a way it can help propel you in business and life.
When competition is all about yourself and all about striving, reaching and achieving, it’s good, healthy and all about self-improvement. It may be an advantage to pace yourself against something to ensure you’re staying on track. If desired, pace yourself against your strategies, plans and targets. Pace yourself against milestones such as; seasons, quarters or holidays. Healthy competition doesn’t involve comparison to anyone else. Everyone is too unique to have a comparison that makes any sense anyway.
The disadvantage of competition involves comparing yourself to others and this leads to two things:
1) Self-doubt. You merely have to read the beginning of the article to see how this plays out.
2) Lack. Perhaps you judge another person and try to rationalize why they’ve gotten what they’ve gotten. Once you begin to judge, you rationalize your position and it may not be where you want it to be. This creates a force to hold you back. Also, from an energetic perspective, you’re creating lack by sheering off your ability to expand.
Instead, you want to be reaching out to others, connecting and generously collaborating. This one act propels your business exponentially.
Collaboration
In recognizing your strengths and the strengths of others and then combining them, there’s exponential growth that happens because there’s exponential opportunity.
You connect your gifts to those of another and do things together, formally or informally. It lifts you up, lifts your collaborator up and lifts both of your audiences.
Have you noticed how inspired you are when you meet someone else and decide to do something together?
It’s intoxicating.
When you relieve the competitive edge and enter collaboration from a truly generous standpoint, you shine more brightly to become a magnet to the marketplace.
Ensure it’s a win-win scenario for those you’re collaborating with and you have the formula for sustained outreach and growth.
