Why should Women Empowerment be at the top of the agenda?

For far too long women have been perceived as backstabbing, catty and unsupportive of each other, but is it a myth or reality? 

Women empowerment advocate, serial entrepreneur and founder of the Women in Business Club says that unsupportive women is a myth and why this paradigm needs to change. 

Yes, women can be competitive and ambitious, but over the last few years women communities have evolved and the support and collaboration between women has become evident. Raimonda Jankunaite founded the Women in Business Club in 2017 as a way of connecting women globally and creating a safe space for women to collaborate and support each other. 

When she first started hosting events, she felt the need for a supportive community around her, whilst building her 3rd business venture, but what she soon realised was that she was not alone, feeling the urge to be surrounded by like-minded women. In fact, thousands of women globally have joined her mission and now the Women in Business is one of the fastest-growing communities globally.

Her mission has been ‘empowered women, empower women, because when women are truly empowered, and they have the mindset of abundance and success, they do not try to teach each other down, instead they come together to collaborate. 

Raimonda says, “I have seen first-hand women coming together to give each other hand, to support, uplift and share resources in business. Every time someone is in need of support or opens us vulnerably within our community there are 100’s of women who would jump in to support, without judgement or expectation” 

This makes her believe that the ‘women being catty’ perception is outdated and there has been an evident shift in culture between women. This may be due to changing mindset, women feeling more empowered and wanting to give back and support others. 

For Women’s History month this year in 2021, Raimonda is bringing together 40+ women and men for one of the biggest global women empowerment events, featuring incredible speakers, experts, authors, entrepreneurs and allies to empower women to succeed and thrive. 

Because when women come together to support each other, incredible things happen, opportunities open up and society as a whole flourish. We women are making history happen right now, by rewriting the future.
